As a community driven to protect, care for and better the lives of our companion animals - how can we not - be driven to protect and support their future families and caregivers. 
To learn, grow and question are the corner stone of mature societies. To admit failure, error and neglect are equally the corner stone of a mature society. 
The long road to maturity may be with obstacles, but it is achievable..
