This rant is  long, convoluted, devoid of punctuation, grammar and civility. Much like the ruling of the keepers of justice. Bear with it, and read, add to the rant, share the rant and let them know power comes with accountability. Great power comes with greater accountability. 

This highest body of justice in the land has floated this “solution” It lacks common sense and reeks of ignorance. This is a desperate quick solution- not a permanent one based on rational or moral reasoning. 

And who will bear the consequences? Where will the government magically produce the massive amount of funds required to construct and run these “shelters” 

1. The major cost of stray/ street dog and cat (or do this honours not realise cats also transmit rabies ) are borne by individuals, neighbourhoods and communities 

2. NGO’s, welfare agencies, shelters  are the first line of defence and have cared for and carried out the task of sterilising and vaccination 

3. Where will these massive funds come from? More importantly, where will these tracts of land be allocated? India is a development frenzy - attempting to concretise every square inch of land. And none of it until now has been earmarked for anything other than a tall shiny tinsel tower

This is a concerted effort to target the weakest section of society. It is against the grain of common decency and guarantees the complete erosion of faith in the judicial system. 

How does a country which celebrates the Indian Pariah Dog and its achievements in becoming a part of the services. Whilst actively working to eradicate their cousins on the outside. Selective morality, outrage and inclusion are the mark of an immature, regressive society. The present keepers of justice appear infantile, toddler like throwing tantrums. Unfortunately, they will leave a legacy of irrational thought and actions devoid of compassion.

Is there a problem with the numbers of stray dogs? Yes, any sensible pro dog advocate will agree on this. But this is where intelligence and imbecility diverge. Common sense, science and history support the fact that neutering (mass neutering actively and honestly supported by the state) works. 

Once you have a stable population it is manageable. Much like human beings- when they breed out of control - a country is faced with an unruly population - lacking access to basic amenities and facilities. If rational measures are not put in place - what do we do with access to human beings - round them up and place them in camps. 

These actions are tests. They test to know how far a society will allow the powers that be to take control. This is control of your daily lives and companions which matter to us.

We watch in real time the destruction of eco systems. Whilst building private humongous enclosures for animal hoarders.  The whittling away of common sense and critical, questioning enquiring minds. 

This is a carefully curated path designed to dehumanise the less fortunate. Vilify animals and reduce them to nothing more than utility. An animal exists for 3 reasons, food/dairy, working animals, and entertainment. The left overs? Eliminate. 

 We have rewired the intellect of every individual to believe a robotic indifference to the world around them.

This ‘judgement’ flies in the face of every core value of a rational minded, impartial, educated judge. It cannot be overstated that these values are also known as common sense.
