Seven Easy DIY Homemade Chew For Large Dogs

Anyone who owns a dog knows their love for chewing things. But unfortunately, they will chew on anything because they are not particular about what they put in their mouths.

So give them these homemade, all-natural dog treats instead of the couch, your favorite sweater, or a child’s toy. It may get expensive to buy dog chews at the supermarket, and you never really know what’s in them.

For aggressive large dogs, it is ideal for getting a long-lasting chew that maintains its taste. However, you must be cautious about feeding your pet with a sensitive stomach. If your dog experiences discomfort, you need to contact its vet and seek medical assistance immediately.

  1. The Easy Dog Chew

This recipe for homemade dog treats is ideal for inexperienced cooks and those who do not have all the time to make one dog treat. For starting, you can start with this simple recipe to help your dog overcome the urge to chew.

You will need one cup peanut butter along with one teaspoon coconut oil and a tray of your choice to bake. Ensure that the coconut oil is liquid. Should this not be the case, melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan over low heat. Now mix cinnamon and peanut butter.

Stir ingredients until it’s entirely smooth and well-combined. A pourable, thick mixture is ideal. Place mixture in the tray and let freeze until solid.

Remove off the tray with care, then place in the freezer in an airtight container because they tend to soften quickly.

  1. The Long Lasting Dog Chew

3. The Pumpkin and Peanut Butter Treat

This dish is a favorite among dogs who have an acquired taste for pumpkins. All you need for this recipe is two and a half cups of whole wheat flour, two whole eggs, half a cup of either canned or fresh pumpkin, almost three tablespoons of peanut butter, and one teaspoon of ground cinnamon. You can add salt to taste if your dog likes it.

Place all ingredients in a separate bowl until the dough can be formed into a perfect round ball. Then, you can use a cleaned and wiped hand to mix all the ingredients. Try to keep the dough dry, but if it is too dry and beginning to crack, add a little water.

Small bits of dough can be broken off and formed into balls, or the dough can be rolled out and shaped with cookie cutters (the treats shouldn’t be thicker than 1/2 inch).

Arrange little balls on a baking dish, keep them over at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and allow the balls to be for at least forty minutes. Before giving your dog treats, let the ice.

Treats should be kept in an airtight container to keep them fresh for many weeks (although they will probably be consumed within a week).

However, many are diabetic and would require special treats. If your dog, too, is diabetic and you want to find  Safe Chews for Your Dog and a recipe that works well for them, we have got you covered.

For a diabetic dog, you can prepare a treat by using half a cup of whole wheat flour, one and a half pounds of beef liver, and two eggs. For this recipe, start by finely chopping the liver. You can use a food processor to do the same.

You can use the flour and eggs to make it a smooth paste. Then, spread the mixture of processed liver, flour, and eggs on the preheated pan.

Bake in the oven until the middle is firm. The snacks will resemble sponges in consistency, and these can be cut in any shape of your choice. You can refrigerate it and store it in a tightly closed container.

Start by preheating the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Then, you can use a jellyroll pan. Use a parchment to cover the pan and bake the treat for your pet.
